The Power of 10: An Exhibition by Friends of the RWA

A vibrant group show by ten Friends of the RWA, celebrating creativity, collaboration and community.

We are a community.

The Friends of the RWA thrived in 2024, reaching our highest ever membership numbers. Our Trips & Visits are going from strength to strength, and the Artist Talks continue to sell out.

But the biggest draw of all is the Friends Exhibition each spring. Traditionally alternating with the RWA Network Artists, this exhibition found a temporary home at The Create Centre during the RWAโ€™s Light and Inspiration renovation in 2022. The Create team were so welcomingโ€”and the exhibition such a successโ€”that we returned in 2023. Then in 2024, back at the RWA, we held the show for the third consecutive year. In 2025, the Network Artists are taking their turn once more with a successful show running from March to May; the Friends Exhibition will return in 2026.

Of course, the exhibition is a vital fundraiser for the RWAโ€”but itโ€™s also something more. Itโ€™s a celebration of community, bringing together a wide range of art lovers and practising artists.

This year, ten Friends of the RWA are joining forces to present a new exhibition at The Create Centre: The Power of 10. This dynamic group show features an exciting mix of painting, printmaking, textiles, photography, metal and woodwork.

Theyโ€™d love you to visit.

Exhibiting artists:
Jane Boot, Monica Cuellar, Aly Dalrymple, Suzanne Ewart, Ann Farthing, Geoff Langam, Gordon Lewis, Viv Shelton, Laurel Smart, Tom Watson
